Try this tip anytime you’re standing somewhere: Feel your feet on the ground.
Whenever you are standing, wearing shoes or not, notice your feet
Where are they, exactly? Under your hips? Wider? Side by side? Staggered?
How is your weight distributed between your two feet? And each foot? Is the weight balanced between toes and heels, inner foot and outer? Can you feel where your feet (or the bottoms of your shoes) connect with the floor? Take a moment to feel that connection. Feel the support of your feet on the ground.
This is a mini mindfulness practice.
Spending a few seconds tuning into and closely observing something as ordinary as standing on your feet helps to cultivate awareness and develop a deeper mind-body connection.
